Weather and time zone

Senegal benefits from a pleasant tropical climate all the year round with mild temperatures from 21 to 34° C, and above all a dry winter from November to May. During the summer months from June to October, tropical rains beat down before letting the sun shine again. The time zone is GMT Greenwich with a time lag with France of one hour in winter and of two hours in summer.

An appropriate anti-malarial treatment is recommended, particularly during the raining season. However, there are very few mosquitoes at the lodge. Sleeping under the mosquito-net and using repellent products is quite enough to be protected. The yellow fever vaccine is also recommended but our area is not a high-risk zone.
